It is wild to think about how the Maine Savings Amphitheater has grown over the last 15 years.

When it first opened, it was little more than a grassy hillside with a stage.  Now, it is one of New England's premiere concert venues.  And, the venue makes new additions each season.  For example, there is now rooftop seating.

In it's 16 years of operation, the venue has hosted over 250 concerts and welcomed more than 1.6 million attendees.

Not only is the Maine Savings Amphitheater an amazing venue, it is also a major driver to the economy of Eastern Maine and beyond.

How Much Money Has the Maine Savings Amphitheater Brought to Bangor's Economy?

The number is truly astounding!

According to a recent article on the Bangor Daily News, the amount of money brought into just the Bangor-area economy between 2010 and 2025 is in excess of $600 million.

That figure comes from a recent report done by Professor Todd Gabe, of the University of Maine School of Economics.  In the report, he took into account revenue & employment information from Waterfront Concerts and taxable retails sales from the area during the days when concerts happened.

Of course, when you factor in the fact that people are coming from all over New England to see these concerts, and spending money as they travel, the amount balloons even more.
