Maine State Police Investigating Sudden Death of Lewiston Infant Over The Weekend
It was a tragic situation that has now unfolded into a full-blow investigation by the Maine State Police.
According to WGME 13, police were called to a home on Main Street in Lewiston, Maine on Sunday morning a little before 9 am. When they arrived, they found an infant who had sadly passed away.
Now, the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The Maine State Police go on to report that this is common protocol in infant death situations.
WGME is reporting that an autopsy is expected to be performed later today.
