Maine State Police Investigate Assault of Windsor Business Owner
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, an Augusta woman is facing charges over a Thursday incident in Windsor.
The press release explains that:
at approximately 6:00 pm, Troopers from Central Field Troop responded to 142 Augusta Rockland Road in Windsor for a report of an out-of-control female that had assaulted a business owner and fled that location in what was discovered to be a stolen pick-up truck.
The Maine State Police posted an image of the woman (presumably taken from a security system) on social media. It did not take long for someone who saw the post to identify her as 33-year-old Jenyfer Clark, of Augusta.

The press release explains that the investigation into the incident continued through the night and, at about 3:30 AM, Clark was discovered hiding on Canaan Road in Pittsfield.
Following her arrest, Clark was taken to the Kennebec County Correctional Facility in Augusta.
So far, she has been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Assault, and Violating Conditions of Release. Apparently, Clark also had an active Probation Revocation warrant as well as a warrant charging her with Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Refusing to Submit to Arrest.
The investigation into the incident continues and it is possible that she could face additional charges.
NOTE: Suspects are considered innocent until they are found guilty in a court of law
The owner of the business was not injured in the assault. While the business was not identified in the press release, a check of Google Maps seems to indicate that it is a garage.
