According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety’s Shannon Moss, the Lewiston Police Department is searching for a person of interest in connection with a Sunday night homicide.

The press release explains that Lewiston Police Department officers were called to a residence on Pierce Street at about 11:10 on Sunday evening.  When they arrived, the found a deceased female in the hallway.

The, at that time, unidentified female was transported to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.  An autopsy determined that the manner of death was homicide.

The deceased was identified as 25 year old Lacresha Howard of Lewiston.

Police spent much of Monday (December 12th) at the scene of the crime.  They processed the scene and interviewed witnesses.

In connection with the investigation into the crime, an arrest warrant was obtained for 40 year old Eddie Massie, of Lewiston.

Massie is described as a black male, 6’04”, weighing 170 pounds.  He reportedly walks with a limp and sometimes goes by the names Fast Eddie and TT.

Eddie Massie is to be considered dangerous and should not be approached.  If you see him, you should call 911 or the Lewiston Police Department at 207.513.3001 extension 3324.
