According to the Maine State Police Facebook Page, a traffic stop led to a significant drug seizure and arrest on Saturday.

State Police report that they made a traffic stop in Carmel on Interstate 95. During the stop, Troopers realized that the driver, 51-year-old Scott Niles of Lincoln, was out on bail for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and proceeded to search the car.

Following the search, Troopers revealed that they had discovered a significant amount of drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Troopers seized 77.5 grams of fentanyl and 7.5 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, an apparent drug smoking device was seen in photos shared by Maine State Police.

Niles was charged with Class C possession of methamphetamine and Class A trafficking of fentanyl, according to Maine State Police.
