This scenario kind of feels like something you would see on a straight to streaming horror or thriller movie.  A young woman uproots her life to move across the country.  She moves into a house with six other people, who torture her and keep her as a captive.

Well, that is allegedly what happened to a young woman from Maine.

According to WGME, the unidentified woman reported moved from Maine to Athens, Texas in November of last year.  At some point, she met a group of potential roommates and moved into a house with those six people.  Then, in the last few weeks, for some reason, she decided to leave the home.  At that point, the roommates allegedly held her against her will and tortured her.

After being held captive for about a week, the former Mainer was able to escape and, from a wooded area near the home, was able to call the authorities.

When the authorities got to her, she was in rough shape.  She was reportedly bruised and had several cuts, too.  She was taken to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery - physically, at least.

The six suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Felicity Emanuelle Walker, 45-year-old Summer Syler Lawrence, 22-year-old Breonna Cheyenne Johnson, 22-year-old Amanda Marie Andrews, 30-year-old Shayne Joseph Anderson, and 21-year-old Charles K. Bryant.

All of the suspects have been charged with aggravated kidnapping and are bring held on $500,000 bail (each).

*NOTE: All suspects are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law*
