If you have ever moved into a house or apartment and found belongings that had been left behind by the previous occupants, there is a good chance that you wanted to snoop a little.

This is probably even more true when some sort of media was left behind.  Old photographs, documents, or even old home movies.

Well, that's exactly what happened to one woman living in Maine.

What Did Sarah Elaine Discover at Her Maine Home?

According to an article on the People Magazine website, a content creator who posts under the name @Saraheposts on TikTok, recently recorded a video about how her brother found a VHS cassette in a cabinet in the 1792 colonial that she recently moved into.

The video, which was labelled 1953-1957 scenes from home then of X Family, was believed to be a VHS copy of 1950s home movies.

She explained that, initially, she did not watch the video because she had seen too many horror movies where bad things happen to people who watch horror movies.  Sinister and The Ring, for example.

@saraheposts I mean i’ll show you the attic room but I have to ward the ghosts off first #oldhousetiktok #historichomes #historicpreservation #1700shome #scarythings ♬ original sound - saraheposts

Later, though, she did end up watching the video and was surprised to see that all it contained was old homes movies of kids playing.

The conclusion of the story?  She got in contact with the rightful owner of the video and was going to get it to the family.

Have you ever found anything creepy in a house or apartment you moved into?  What was it?  Please tell us the story!
