Maine Woman Searching For Other Drivers in October Accident
Traffic accidents are never fun.
Even the most minor fender benders, where no one is injured, end up being a major hassle. In most cases, you need to pull off to the side of the road, exchange information with the other driver, wait for the cops to show up (they normally have more important things to be dealing with), and then deal with the insurance company in order to get your vehicle repaired.
It’s never fun.
It is even worse when the other party’s insurance company is refusing to play ball. Especially when it appears that they were at fault in the accident.
That’s exactly what one Central Maine woman is going through right now.
According to a post on the Augusta Neighborhood Watch page, Kristen King was driving north on I-295 between 3 and 4 PM on Sunday, October 6th. She explains that the tire of a tractor-trailer in front of her exploded.
She explains:
I was driving north, before the Brunswick/Bath exit, when a tractor-trailer tire exploded and flew off the truck in front of me. There was no way to dodge the tire so I hit it. The tire went under my small Audi causing extensive damage.
The tire did damage to her vehicle and she believes it caused damage to the vehicle behind her.
She believes the vehicle behind, a small SUV, was also damaged by the tire.
King is hoping to make contact with the driver of the other vehicle.
As she has been having trouble dealing with the truck's insurance company, and her own, she is hoping that having a statement from the other driver will help move the situation along.
