Man Arrested Following Alleged Threats Made With a Gun at a Maine Racetrack
A 30-year-old Unity man faces charges following a Thursday night incident allegedly involving a firearm.
According to the KJ, at just after 4 PM on Thursday, Joshua Littlefield, of Unity, allegedly threatened a man with a firearm at Unity Raceway.
After the incident, Littlefield fled to his house.
When police arrived on the scene, the victim was able to provide them with a description of the person who threatened him and the firearm the person had allegedly used.
The Maine State Police Tactical and Crisis Negotiation teams were called to Littlefield's residence. This prompted a shelter-in-place order for students at the nearby Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association campus.
The incident ended with Littlefield being arrested. Initially, he was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. Following that evaluation, he was taken to the Waldo County Jail.
