McDonald’s Bringing Back Iconic Menu Item That Screams “America!” – Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts Take Note
Despite the name of another well-known fast food restaurant, there is no denying that the king of all fast food places is McDonald's.
No matter where you are in the United States, you are never more than a short drive from a McDonald's location. And, no matter what your favorite type of fast food is, you can always find some appealing on the menu at McDonald's.
Of course, like any restaurant, the menu at McDonald's is ever-changing. Yes, some items are permanent fixtures, there are dozens more than seem to come and go. In a lot of cases, these are seasonal offerings. The McRib and blueberry cream pie, for example.
Sometimes, though, once they are gone, they never come back.
That was how it seemed with the fried apple pies. Back then, we just called them apple pies, of course. In the early 1990s, they were replaced with the baked pies. Yes, they are still good, but they are nowhere near as magical as the fried ones.
If you have been missing the fried pies as much as I have, I've got some good news for you - they are coming back for a limited time this summer!
The Return of McDonald's Fried Apple Pies
It looks like the deep fried treat will be making a comeback in honor of the United States' 250th birthday!
According to All Recipes, McDonald’s is bringing back its original recipe Fried Apple Pie at drive-thrus nationwide starting June 23.
The dessert features 100% American-grown apples inside a crispy, golden fried crust, returning for the first time in nearly 35 years. It’ll be available all day, but only for a limited time while supplies last.
