Mixers Nightclub in Sabattus, Maine Hosting Country Night on Friday
None of us have anything against parties that feature top 40, hip-hop, EDM, or rock, but you have to admit that a country party just hits differently.
If you grew up in a more rural area, you know what I am talking about.
You don't?
Let us paint a picture for you...
Picture a gravel backroad that opens into a wide, dusty field framed by pine trees and pickup trucks parked like loyal horses at a hitching post. Tailgates are down. Coolers are cracked. Someone’s already arguing about which playlist “really counts as country,” and it’s only been five minutes.
The soundtrack is a cocktail of Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and a little bit of outlaw thrown in for credibility. Speakers rattle. Boots stomp. Baseball caps tilt backward as the sun melts into a pink-orange horizon like it’s trying to flirt with the crowd.
Someone built a fire using old pallets and whatever wood was lying around. Around it are a sea of flannel shirts, cutoff tees, ripped jeans, and mud-ready boots.
Drinks come in three flavors: red cups, cans, and “don’t ask what’s in this.”
A game of cornhole is happening but no one’s keeping score. Somebody tries line dancing. Somebody else tries to two-step and turns it into interpretive spinning. Laughter travels farther than the music.
Mixers Nightclub & Lounge in Sabattus is giving you a chance to relive those days (nights?).
The iconic bar will be throwing a Country Night party this Friday, February 20th.
I'll be there spinning the country tracks - from Aldean to Zac Brown and everything in-between.
The drinks will be flowing! Dress accordingly and make sure you bring your ID because this event is 21+.
The fun gets kicked off at 8 PM.
And, if you want more nostalgia, you can check out DJ Double-G spinning the 90s and 00s hip-hop on Saturday, February 21st.
