More Car Accidents in August Than Other Months in the Year
Saturday, August 2, is statistically one of the most dangerous days to drive. August in general and Saturday the most, is the time more accidents happen on U.S roadways. There are 800 more traffic deaths in Augusta as compared to January.
There are a couple of reasons for this: Unsafe Behavior, Time of Day and Simple Distractions. Time of Day: with an increase in hours on the road, the more chance for speeding, drunk driving and not wearing a seat belt. Plus with summer comes increased weekend driving.
Basic good advice to follow when driving is to wear your seat belt, focus on the road and stay in control.
