New Hampshire Restaurant / Brewery Visited By Fieri’s Triple D

As a former longtime (over a decade) resident of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I keep an eye on what's going on in "the valley" through my friends' Facebook posts.

A few months ago, several friends posted about seeing Guy Fieri in the North Conway area.  In fact, one friend posted a pic she had taken with the "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives" host.

Seeing a celebrity in that area really is not THAT big of a deal.  Director Spike Lee has been spotted there, now deceased boxer Marvelous Marvin Hagler lived there, and a few years ago Justin Timberlake (accompanied by wife Jessica Biel) attended a wedding in the area.  Even though celebrities frequently visit the area on vacation, everyone pretty much knew that he had to be there filming a segment for "Triple D" or another Food Network show.

Apparently, he was in the area to film a "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives" segment at the Moat Mountain Smokehouse.  The popular restaurant and brewery made the announcement that their segment would air on tonight's (September 30th) episode on their Facebook page.

The announcement says, in part:

We, The Moat Mountain Smokehouse, are going to be on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives tomorrow, Friday, September 30th @ 9pm (Food Network)! Can you guess what the featured items are??

In business for close to two decades, the much loved restaurant is known for their BBQ offerings and their beers.  Guests will also note that many of dishes have a unique Asian flare, too.

Moat Mountain smokehouse is a paradise for lovers of craft beer!

Like many New England craft breweries, they produce a variety of brews from very light pilsners, to heavy stouts.  They even have a few fruit offerings.  Personally, my favorite is Miss V's Blueberry.

Located inside an old farmhouse on Route 16, the building has been utilized as a restaurant space and inn for decades.  Prior to becoming the Moat Mountain Smokehouse, it had been a Scottish restaurant and, before that, the building was home to a German restaurant.
