Camping means different things to different people.

While some people still want to "rough it" when they camp, many other people feel like camping should be like a stay at a luxury resort where you are a little bit closer to nature.

Because of this trend, we have seen an explosion in the popularity of "Camping Resorts" and "Glamping Resorts".

These resorts generally offer several options for lodging, including tent campsites, spots for parking campers/RVs, and even cabins or cottages.  Additionally, they offer lots of amenities and activities.  At these resorts, most sites have power, water hookups, wifi, and even cable for TV.  Plus, many of these resorts feature pools, mini-water parks, beaches, restaurants, and nightly entertainment.

Recently, USA Today put out their list of the best RV campgrounds (camping resorts) in the country.  Campgrounds in Alabama, Tennessee, and California all made the list.

However, at the top of the list was a New England camping resort that is in kind of an unlikely place.  The campground is located in a small Massachusetts town that is famous, but it is known for something completely different.

The best camping resort in the United States is Foxborough's Normandy Farms.

In business for over 50 years, the business has been welcoming visitors to the hometown of the New England Patriots.

Like many similar resorts, Normandy Farms features a variety of lodging options including RV/camper sites, tent sites, cabins, and yurts.

No matter what your family is into, the resort has something that will keep you occupied.  There are playgrounds, pools, dog park, fitness center, arts center, and even an RC track.  Plus, they feature special events throughout the season, like brewfests and theme weekends.

Even though the place is amazingly cool, we think the biggest attraction is its location in relation to Gillette Stadium.  It would be the perfect place to stay after seeing an early season Pats game or a concert.
