The Orionid Meteor shower will peak this Thursday night into early Friday morning. The Meteor shower should peak with around 25 per hour.

However, it might be tough viewing here in Maine. The weather is calling for rain to move during late Thursday and a bright, waning gibbous moon should work against Mainers seeing the meteor shower.

There will be some to see tonight with a clear sky, it just won't be at the peak conditions of Thursday night.

The Orionid meteors are debris of ice and dust left behind by Halley's Comet.
