As life in Maine slowly returns to normal, one of the largest gambling establishments in New England has reopened after being closed for nearly four months due to the spreading coronavirus.

According to WMTW, Oxford Casino reopened early Thursday (July 9th) morning.

The casino is following mandates imposed by the state.  This includes limiting the number of guests to 200.  These 200 guests will be spread across four different sections of the gaming floor.  Only slot machines will be available, initially.  There will be no table games for the foreseeable future.  Food service will be limited and guests must wear their masks at all times.

Upon arrival, guests will have their temperatures checked and leave contact information.

So far, Oxford Casino has managed to bring back 150 of its approximate 500 employees.  All are being tested for COVID-19 before being allowed to return to work.

Hollywood Casino, located in Bangor, plans to reopen tomorrow (Friday, July 10th) at Noon.
