Depending on where you live in Maine, you may want to allow extra time to get where you need to go tonight.  Or, you may want to allow a little extra time to defrost your car tomorrow morning.

According to WABI TV, much of the state north of Bangor is going to see some real winter weather tonight (Wednesday).  In a post on their Facebook page, they explained that that part of Maine is likely to see light snow, freezing rain, and sleet throughout the evening.

According to the National Weather Service, the area is likely to see a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain between 10 PM and 6 AM.  In some places, up to 2" of precipitation could fall before it is over.  On the plus side, it will not stay.  By early tomorrow (Thursday) morning, the temperature will be back up to about 43 degrees.

Of course, while it is falling, and fresh on the ground, roads could become slick.  Because of this, you are going to want to allow extra time to get to where you need to go.  Take precautions, go slow, and keep your hands at 10 and 2 (that's correct, right?) and you should be fine.

Be prepared that the weather is not going to be all that nice over the next few days.  It looks as though we have a mix of rain and snow through Friday.  However, Saturday should be sunny, but cool.
