According to WGME, the "Star Teachings" Facebook group held a flash mob on Friday in Portland's Monument Square.

Braving cold temperatures and rain showers, their goal was the celebrate their community, spread kindness, and collect donations for a Northern Maine community.  Dancing around the square and holding signs promoting kindness, they collected clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, canned goods, dog food, cat food, and monetary donations.

According to Roberta Holloway,

“The most important thing we want to get out of this is to celebrate kindness, compassion, and happiness, and share the Star Teachings, knowledge and to celebrate community.”

According to the group's Facebook page:

"Star Teachings are the wisdom and knowledge inherent in the functioning of the universe. These Star Teachings have been delivered to us by Mi'kmaq Elder David Lonebear Sanipass."

Thank you all for giving us a reason to smile.
