Proposed Maine Law Would Require Dogs to be Restrained While Riding in Cars
A bill sponsored by Rep. Jim Hardy called ‘An Act Concerning the Transporting of Dogs in Passenger Vehicles’ would require dogs riding in moving vehicles to be tethered of harnessed.
No more head out the window letting the wind blow in the dogs face and jiggle their jaw. The proposed law would make it criminal act. The dog would not be allowed to ride in the front seat or have their head out the window.
According to Rep. Hardy it’s all about animals being safe will riding in a vehicle.
