Not something you hear about every day, a group of otters eating a monkey at a zoo. A rare golden tamarin monkey at the Bristol Zoo in England fell into the otter’s lake and got trapped in a drainage value and then was eaten by the otters.

This is not the first incident that happened at the zoo. In September an endangered Visaryan warty pig, which are at an extremely high risk of extinction, had piglets which were eaten by the male pig brought in to mate with the female.

Last week, three rainbow parrots escaped from their enclosure and flew into the city. Since then two of the parrots have been returned to the zoo but one remains at large.

Despite the recent failures, the British Association of Zoos and Aquariums says they are extremely proud of the zoos, standards and track record.
