Authorities in Maine are looking for the public's help in locating a missing 56-year-old woman from Brunswick.

According to an article on the WCSH 6 website, police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Brunswick woman who may have left her home sometime between Sunday afternoon and early Monday.

Yes, it appears she went missing in the middle of the worst snowstorm that Maine has faced in several years.

Rebecca Dorr, 56, of Brunswick, was last believed to be at her home on Maine Street around 3 PM on Sunday.  According to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, she may have left the residence on foot sometime between then and Monday morning.

Dorr is described as possibly wearing a blue jacket and a white knit hat with stripes. Officials say she may be dealing with mental health challenges, which is why they’re concerned about her well-being.

A post on the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Facebook page says, in part:

Rebecca is believed to be impacted by mental health issues and is believed to be wearing a blue jacket and white knit hat with stripes. She is believed to have left her residence on foot.

The search is being led by the Brunswick Police Department along with the Maine Warden Service.

Anyone who has seen Dorr or has information that could help locate her is urged to contact the Brunswick Police Department at 207-725-5521, ext. 1.
