Roger Moore turns 82 on October 14, 2012, probably best known for his role as 007, James Bond. The first Bond film was Dr. No in 1962 with Sean Connery and still considered the best 007 film. Connery played Bond in five movies, his last in 1971 with ‘Diamonds Are Forever’. In 1969, George Lazenby starred in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, his only Bond film. Roger Moore became the third to take over spy duties with ‘Live and Let Die’ which was a box office hit raking in $126.4 million.

Moore went on to star in seven James Bond movies, the most of all 007’s. His final role was in 1985 with ‘View to a Kill’. Timothy Dalton took over for two more Bond films and then was replaced by Pierce Brosnan for four more films. There are 23 Bond films with the current 007, Daniel Craig, starring in two of them with his third, Skyfall, due out November 9, 2012.
