Everything You Need to Know About Shadows in the Hall in Gardiner, Maine
According to a post on the Johnson Hall Facebook page, the iconic event center and theater will bring their haunting Shadows in the Hall back for a 3rd year.
If you're looking for a Halloween experience in Maine that goes beyond the usual haunted house, Johnson Hall Opera House's Shadows in the Hall is just what you need!
Shadows in the Hall will take over the historic building October 23rd and October 24th, bringing more than 50 community performers, ranging in age from 6 to 83, together for a haunting experience filled with unexpected twists.
Instead of walking through a traditional haunted house, guests will travel through Johnson Hall in small groups, moving from scene to scene as short performances unfold around them. Each scene is inspired by a different moment in time, offering a mix of eerie encounters, unsettling situations and moments of humor.
Of course, visitors won't know exactly what's waiting around the next corner, which is part of the experience.
Tours will run from 6 PM to 9:30 PM on both nights, with groups departing every 15 minutes. The complete experience lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Tickets cost $13 per person, and organizers encourage guests to reserve their preferred tour time early. Because each tour accommodates a limited number of people, some time slots may fill up quickly.
One important note for parents: Shadows in the Hall is not designed for young audiences. The experience includes frightening scenes, sudden scares and mature themes, so viewer discretion is advised.
