Sidney Woman Wins Big From Ticket Bought At Damon’s Quick Stop
We're pretty sure that Patricia Rojas of Sidney is glad that she made a stop at Damon's Quick Stop in Augusta.
According to WCSH 6, last month, she bought 25X The Cash scratch ticket and walked away with a quarter of a million dollars. No word on what she intends to use the money for.
She's not the only Mainer who won big, either. Thirty-four other Mainers won $10,000 or more in the month of May. Seven of those winners walked away with at least $100,000. The total take from those wins was $1,620,000!
Winners from Central Maine include: Winslow's Dianne Cook, Skowhegan's Roberta Ronco, Renee Stronach from Lewiston, and Monmouth's Richard Gielarowski.
Money made by the Maine State Lottery goes to the Maine General Fund. Money from that fund goes to support programs for the citizens of Maine.
