Have you noticed the internet being a little sluggish the last few days?  Facebook and websites loading a little more slowly?  Youtube TV and Netflix buffering a little more than normal?  There's a reason for any recent internet issues you've been having.

According to the Bangor Daily News, with a massive increase of people working from home, along with people spending more time at home due to the stay-at-home order, a massive strain is being put on the state's internet service providers.  This has lead to a slowdown and, in some cases, failure.

Jeff Letourneau, the executive director for the University of Maine System's Networkmaine, says overcoming the issues would require upgrades that would take time and money.  He says that, in the meantime, some of the issues could be alleviated if ISPs increased the speed of their current connections.
