Central Maine Firearms Dealer Announces Permanent Closure
While we have seen some improvements over the last few years, there is no doubt that the economy of the United States is still in kind of rough shape.
We have seen the price of fuels steadily increase over the last few months and, while they have not necessarily increased, the price of many goods remains high.
As a result, it should not be a surprise that we are continuing to see many businesses make drastic changes in how they operate. In some cases, the owners of these businesses have even made the difficult decision to cease operations.
That's the case with one local firearms dealer.
T and K Tactical in Augusta Has Closed
T&K Tactical has been a staple in Augusta for years. After spending years on Water Street in Augusta, the business moved to the old K-Mart plaza on Western Avenue, before finally making the move to Riverside Drive in Augusta.
In addition to operating as a firearms dealer, the business offered gunsmithing, engraving, and they even sold those Byrna pistol launchers.
Unfortunately, it has been announced the business is closed permanently.
A post on the business Facebook page says, in part:
T and K Tactical will not be re-opening and the business will close permanently.
After weeks of working to prepare for re-opening, the economy, changes in the industry, and new regulations from the State and Federal government, both implemented and coming, have forced us to make a hard decision.
Of course, we wish Tony and the rest of the team from the business all the best in their future endeavors.
