Take a seat, Sadness. It’s Joy’s night. That’s because Inside Out triumphed in a very competitive category (that also included Shaun the Sheep Movie and the truly outstanding Anomalisa) to take home the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Oscars. It’s the second Best Animated Feature win for director Pete Docter (2009’s Up was the first) and the eighth win for Pixar Animation Studios (the other six, for those keeping score at home, are Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Toy Story 3, and Brave).
Disney’s annual convention dedicated to itself, D23 (named, I assume, after the number of dollars you have left in your bank account after you go and buy lots of cool Disney swag), kicks off today, so expect plenty of news and announcements coming out of Anaheim all weekend...

This is just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which just keeps swimming with Finding Nemo!
The wizards at Pixar Animation Studios are known for a few things. They’re famous for producing thrillingly original and innovative computer-animated movies. They’re known for cartoons that please adults as much as (or sometimes more than) they please children. And they’ve become even more beloved in nerdier circles for their inexhaustible dedication to Easter eggs.
Like all of Pixar’s teaser trailers, the first preview for The Good Dinosaur is all about mood, emphasizing a distinct feeling over characters and plot. But as the title implies, it’s really all about dinosaurs. Colorful, adorable dinosaurs who, thanks to director Peter Sohn and the Pixar braintrust, aren’t wiped out by an apocalyptic asteroid 66 million years ago and live on to have all kinds of adventures. Toy Story 3 wrapped up the Toy Story trilogy so perfectly, many fans were left wondering how exactly the recently announced Toy Story 4 will continue that storyline. We have our first insight into Pixar's plans for Toy Story 4, and it turns out that they're not even going to try.

What fans really want to know is if we'll ever see a Disney or Pixar animated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. John Lasseter, who runs both Disney Animation and Pixar, has your answer: no.
One of Disney and Pixar's most beloved hits of all time was undoubtedly Brad Bird's 'The Incredibles,' which saw a family of superheroes thrusted back into heroics after years of remaining in hiding. The director previously said that he was extremely interested in the possibility of continuing the story with 'The Incredibles 2,' but now, during a meeting with the Disney investors, Disney CEO Bob I
