It feels like today's announcement from the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce could not have come at a better time.

As we all get ready to spend the next few days dealing with an April winter storm, we need something to look forward to.  Something like the return of warm weather.  Something like one of our favorite summer festivals.

According to a press release from the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, the 2024 Taste of Waterville will be held from noon to 10 PM on Wednesday, July 31.

Keep in mind that due to the dates of other events, this year's Taste of Waterville will be a week earlier than it has been in the past. But it will still be held at Waterville's Head of Falls.

What is Taste of Waterville?

Now in its 32nd year, Taste of Waterville highlights the restaurants and food trucks of Central Maine.

Guests can wander from vendor to vendor, sampling everything from tacos to BBQ, bao buns, and pizza.  Some vendors will be serving up amazing desserts, and there will be booths selling adult beverages.

Speaking of adult beverages, it appears that the brewfest tasting event will be returning to Taste of Waterville.  As we get closer to the event, we can expect specific details about the tasting event to be announced.

There will also be a corn hole tournament, a dunk tank featuring local celebrities, and several other fun activities.

There will be multiple bands throughout the afternoon and evening.  The press release announced that Downeast Brass will perform, and that other performers will be announced soon.

There is a reason why Taste of Waterville is one of the most anticipated events of the year.  If you have never been to this epic festival, set a reminder in your phone now.  You don't want to miss it.
