Brad Paisley has joined the star-studded lineup of actor Will Ferrell's Best Night of Your Life, a fundraising event that will benefit cancer survivors. At the event, Paisley will join members of Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Dave Mathews Band, Guns N' Roses and more to form a "musical supergroup," according to Taste of Country. Paisley and the rest of the crew will take the stage on Oct. 6 at Los Angeles's Greek Theatre. Tickets are on sale now.

Kid Rock will lead Nashville's 64th annual Christmas parade. According to News Channel 5 in Nashville, Rock will serve as grand marshal for the parade, which has been a Tennessee tradition since 1927. The 2018 Nashville Christmas parade kicks off at 8:30AM on Dec. 1 in downtown Music City.

Congratulations are in order for former Trick Pony frontwoman Heidi Newfield, who is recently engaged to fiance Matt King! Newfield announced her impending nuptials on Instagram, paired with a shot of King down on one knee at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. "In the mother church ... this man got down on his knee and I said yes! With dear friends in the dark corners waiting with hugs, flowers, and love," Newfield writes. "I’ve never been this surprised or felt this blessed!!!"

Chris Young is the first-ever recipient of the Charlie Daniels Patriot Award, given by the Journey Home Project, Daniels' nonprofit that raises funds to benefit military veterans. Young received the honor in recognition of his support of the United States military, including numerous trips overseas to perform for soldiers stationed in Japan, South Korea and the Middle East; Daniels himself presented Young with the award at a dinner at Nashville's The Palm restaurant on Sept. 18. "I am immensely grateful to our military and their families for the sacrifices they make for our country and incredibly humbled to receive the Patriot Award honor from Charlie and the Journey Home Project," Young says in a statement.
