According to psychologists a first kiss is more memorable than the first sexual encounter. Up to 90% of people can remember their first romantic kiss because the lips are sensitive. It also activates feelings of closeness and arouses the brains love chemicals.

The kiss is still the thing that makes the impression and could have a little to do with the movies. In the movies the long awaited first kiss can make an audiences heart flutter because it seals the deal between the couple on the screen.

Research in author Sheril Kirshenbaum’s book, “The Science of Kissing: What Our Lips Are Telling Us, says the first kiss can mean things are completely on or completely off between a couple. In her book the general rule of thumb is men prefer an open-mouth kiss, and women complain about too much tongue. The earliest kisses where with the nose, like the Eskimo rub, but the color red may have been the reason the kiss moved to the lips. Man’s attraction to the color red and a woman’s red lips, was an indicator of firtile mate.
