The Founder of Central Maine’s Iconic Al’s Pizza Has Passed Away

We are really blessed to have so many great pizza places here in Maine, but a few of them really stand out from the pack.

Al's Pizza in Skowhegan is definitely one of those standouts.

For over half a century, Al's Pizza has been feeding the residents of Skowhegan and the surrounding area.  A true family business, the Barry and Aldina Partridge purchased the pizzeria in 1969.  The moved it to its current location on Waterville Road in the mid-1980s.

For decades, the Partridges prided themselves on being a family run business that treated their staff like family.  Additionally, they have always prided themselves on serving up "real food".

Now, we are getting word that the Partridge family has lost one of their own.

In a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, they announced the passing of Barry Partridge.  Barry was the Partridge family patriarch and the founder of Al's Pizza.

The post goes on to say:

For well over 40 years, Barry and his wife, Adina, built Al’s Pizza into a local landmark, serving generations of families and pouring their heart and soul into crafting not just "real food," but moments of joy and togetherness that linger in the hearts of customers and staff, whom he always believed in treating like "real people."

Our thoughts are with Chad, Marsha, and the entire Al's Pizza family in this difficult time.
