The Waterville Sign War 2: The Fun Continues
Last week, everyone was all about the "sign war" between State Farm and Wendy's on Main Street in Waterville.
It looks like there is another Waterville sign war in the works. This one is a little more long distance. Even though the businesses (organizations?) are well-known, they are not right across the street from each other.
This one involves the Silver Street Tavern at the corner of Silver Street and Main Street and the Alfond Youth & Community Center on North Street.

If you are not familiar with what a "sign war" is, basically, two or more businesses trade lighthearted jabs at each other through their signs.
Personally, I feel that, with all we have had to deal with over the last 14 months, we need to see more things like sign wars. What a fun way to bring attention to the great businesses and organizations of Central Maine.
So, who is next? What business is going to start the next sign war?
If you spot any businesses with creative messaging on their signs, let us know. Send us a message through our app or on Facebook.
