This Maine House Is Literally Slope Side At Sugarloaf Mountain

Even though the 2021 / 2022 ski season is just about over, there is no time like the present for planning for the 2022 / 2023 ski season.  If you are a die-hard skier who tries to get on the mountain as many days as possible you probably try to live as close as you can to your preferred mountain.

Well, if you have a few extra million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, this could be the perfect vacation home for you!

According to Realtor.com, there is a house (some would call it a mansion) is Carrabassett Valley, Maine that is basically slopeside to Sugarloaf Mountain!

It is a 5,200 square foot home with 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.  It has several living rooms, a game room, two kitchens, and a wood-fired pizza oven.  Since it is a ski house, it has a big mud room and a ski room that is almost as big as some you'd see at a ski mountain.

Also, who needs to hang out at the lodge when you have a massive stone patio with a hot tub and a fire pit?  Instead, just bring the party to your house!

How much does it cost?  As of April 2022, the list price was $2,650,000.  Assuming you put $630,000 down, your monthly payment on a 30 year mortgage would be $12,000 a month.

For those unfamiliar with Sugarloaf Mountain, it is one of the premiere ski resorts in Maine.  As it is the 3rd highest peak in Maine, it has some of Maine's best vertical trails.  The resort has over 60 miles of trails on 650 acres.  One of the largest ski resorts in new England, Sugarloaf has 13 lifts and can accommodate over 21,000 skiers per hour.
