Authorities Searching For People Who Allegedly Broke Into Cannabis Shop & Stole a Car in Maine

According to WMTW, local law enforcement are searching for two suspects believed to be connected to a burglary at a cannabis shop, two attempted break-ins at gun stores, and a stolen vehicle case in Androscoggin County.

According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was called to Vacationland Cannabis on Auburn Road in Turner at about 3:30 Friday morning.  When the deputy arrived, they noticed a car driving near the closed business without its headlights on.  The deputy began to follow the vehicle, but it quickly sped away and disappeared from view.

Investigators later discovered the cannabis shop had been broken into and several products had been stolen.  Deputies also reported that Northeastern Firearms, another business located on Auburn Road in Turner, appeared to have been the target of an attempted burglary.

Officials say the vehicle seen leaving the area had been stolen from a residence in Auburn earlier.  It was eventually recovered later that morning on Pennell Street in Westbrook.

Earlier in the morning, deputies working with Sabattus and Lewiston police also responded to an attempted burglary at First Due Firearms on Greene Street in Sabattus. Authorities believe that incident is connected to the crimes reported in Turner.

The sheriff’s office says surveillance footage captured images of two suspects involved in the incidents.

One suspect was described as a slender white male wearing a North Face jacket, black athletic pants, and black sneakers.

The second suspect was also described as a slender white male wearing a gray Alaskan Hardgear zip-up jacket with “Spang Builders” embroidered on the chest, along with blue sweatpants and red sneakers with white soles.
