The United Way of Mid Maine held their stuff the bus event recently at Waterville's Walmart.  Newscenter did a wonderful story about it and how they are working to help schools in parts of Kennebec and Waldo counties and Somerset county.

The in-person event is fun because you get to drop off the items on the bus. But if you missed it yesterday you still can help and make a difference.

What sort of things are they looking for? Any of the back to school supplies you might expect pens, pencils, crayons, markers, backpacks, folders, scissors, papers, any of the items you would find the back to the school shopping area of the store.  This year there is also hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting wipes, disposable face masks, and those sorts of items as well.

The United Way of Mid-Maine's virtually and drop-off locations around the Waterville area running until the end of August.
