Multiple people have been arrested following a Wednesday incident in Waldoboro.

According to an article on the WMTW website, six people were arrested Wednesday morning following a kidnapping and theft investigation at a home on Reef Road in Waldoboro.

In a press release, the Waldoboro Police Department described the operation as a large-scale, multi-agency effort. Authorities from State Police, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, along with local fire and EMS crews, all assisted.

Police arrested Russell Hardin, 44, of Waldoboro; Taylor Meader, 25, of Sidney; and Shane Jones, 38, of South Thomaston on outstanding warrants.  Adonis Morel Tavarez, 18, of New York, was also taken into custody and faces charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping, theft, and terrorizing.

Following the execution of a search warrant, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Jones and Tavarez, along with Glenn Hardin, 72, of Waldoboro, and Yendy Zenzof Rodriguez, 25, of Massachusetts.  All four are charged with aggravated and unlawful drug trafficking.

*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until being found guilty in a court of law

Waldoboro police thanked the community for its patience and credited the coordinated effort of the agencies involved.
