Arrest Made in Northern Maine Fire
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Pubic Safety, the State Fire Marshal’s Office has charged a 25-year-old Crystal man in connection with a mobile home fire earlier this week.
Walker Craig was arrested Friday, August 28, by the Houlton Police Department on a warrant charging him with arson and aggravated criminal mischief. The warrant was issued following an investigation by State Fire Marshal investigators, in consultation with the Aroostook County District Attorney’s Office.
Investigators responded to 713 Crystal Road in Crystal early Tuesday morning, August 25, at the request of the Patten Fire Department, which was investigating a small fire at a mobile home. The investigation determined that Craig allegedly attempted to burn down the mobile home he had been renting.
*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until being found guilty in a court of law
Craig was taken to the Aroostook County Jail, where he remains in custody. His bail was set at $10,000 cash.
