All those noise complaints haven't stopped the City of Bangor from signing another multi-year contract with Waterfront Concerts.

According to a news release from Waterfront today, the show will go on in Bangor - for at least another 10 years.

Acting as a catalyst for the burgeoning economic and cultural growth for the past eight summers, Waterfront Concerts’ time in Bangor has been a fruitful one as displayed through a recent University of Maine economic study by Todd Gabe showing the company’s fans and operations contributing $105.1 million in revenue to Bangor and the surrounding areas from 2010-2016.

With the support and encouragement from the fans, sponsors and City of Bangor, the team at Waterfront Concerts is looking forward to future growth and development opportunities that are sure to come with the newly approved 10-year lease at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion.  With this contract in place, Waterfront Concerts will be able to continue to make improvements and develop the venue in order to provide fans and artists the best possible concert experience.

The Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion has been host to well over 100 Regional, National and International touring acts from across the globe such as Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett, Ed Sheeran, Dixie Chicks and Van Halen, with a total attendance of 735,000-plus people throughout 2010-2017.  In 2016 alone, concert attendees spent an estimated $24.9 million dollars on accommodations, food & beverage, retail purchases and local operations, helping to put Bangor on the map as a destination for fans and tourists from Maine, New Hampshire, Canada and beyond, and creating an increase in full and part-time jobs in the area.
