UPDATE: (10:00 AM on August 19th, 2020) We're hearing the restaurant will re-open sometime next week.
UPDATE: (9:30 PM on August 18th, 2020): GREAT NEWS! We have been informed the restaurant is only temporarily closed. No further information is available at this time.
It appears that The Villager Family Restaurant, located on the concourse in Waterville, has closed for good.
We've gotten several messages from listeners saying the restaurant has not been open. Additionally, the phone for the business appears to have been disconnected and it no longer appears on Google Maps. And, a Google search lists the establishment as being "permanently closed".
The restaurant, known for its New England Boiled Dinner and meatloaf, has been a staple of Waterville's culinary scene for decades.
If it has indeed closed, it will be missed by many.
