Wayne Man Identified As Victim In Fatal Crash Friday Night In Readfield

WGME is reporting that a Wayne man has died and a Mt. Vernon man was seriously injured after the car they were riding in went off the road and crashed late Friday night in Readfield.

According to The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened just after 10 PM on the North Road Friday night.

Ethan Russell, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Russell and Richard Hall Jr. 21, of Mt. Vernon were passengers in the car driven by Tyler Goucher, 21 of Mt. Vernon. Hall was flown to CMMC in Lewiston with serious injuries. The sheriff's office reported no one was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
