Game three of the 2015 World Series is tonight in New York. The Royals lead the Mets two games to zero. Going into the series, I had no rooting interest on which team I wanted to win. That has now changed, here's why.

Eight of the 12 runs driven in by the Kansas City Royals in their two World Series victories have come off wooden bats made by the Dove Tail Bat Company.

Dove Tail Bat Company is owned by Paul and Theresa Lancisi and is located in Shirley,Maine. That's just a few miles south of Greenville.

Dove Tail Bat Company is one of almost 40 which compete to make bats for MLB players.

Kansas City players that are using the bats include catcher Salvador Perez, third baseman Mike Moustakas, left fielder Alex Gordon and first baseman Eric Hosmer. Moustakas and Gordon have each driven in two runs while Hosmer has plated four, including the winning run via a sacrifice fly in KC’s 5-4 victory in the 14th inning of Game 1.

Look for those bats made in Maine in game tonight and maybe it might but what you need to cheer on the Royals.
