The National Weather Service has issues a Winter Storm Watch for our area. This is for the following counties: Oxford, Franklin, Somerset, Cumberland, Androscoggin, Kennebec, Waldo, Sagadahoc, Lincoln and Knox.

The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday, November 1st until 5 p.m. Sunday, November 2nd.

Expect heavy, wet snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.

Drivers may need to slow and use caution.

Winds from the north 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Power outages are possible.

Temperatures in the mid 30's

A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

On a personal note, the Maine Army National Guard are schedule to pitch the tent on Sunday at Camp Keyes to serve as our base during the Tanksgiving Food Drive. My thoughts will be with the men and women who'll be on the job!
