Most kids are fascinated by the world around us.  They love police vehicles, fire trucks, and construction equipment.  Of course, most never have a chance to get really close to them, let alone actually touch them!

That is why they are really going to love this weekend's touch-a-truck event in Waterville.

According to a Facebook event page from the Children's Discovery Museum, they will be holding a touch-a-truck event this Saturday (August 19th).

The event will be held at the museum's new-ish location at 7 Eustis Parkway in Waterville.

The event post says, in part:

We are filling our parking lot with trucks! Join the museum, Bangor Savings Bank and Casella for this FREE event held at the Children’s Discovery Museum.

In addition to the trucks, there'll be music, games, give aways, and rolled ice cream from Nate & Ollie's Rolled Ice Cream.

You don't know what rolled ice cream is?  It's all good.  I had no idea what it was until just a few weeks ago.  Basically, it is like what would happen if Cold Stone Creamery and a crepes place had a baby.  Using mix-ins like Cold Stone, it is made on a machine that looks like one of those crepes tables.  Of course, because the table is cold, it turns the ingredients into a tasty frozen treat.  I still have not had a chance to try rolled ice cream, yet, but I really want to!

The event will be held from 1 PM to 4 PM on Saturday.  It is free to attend.
