The Blizzard of 2015 is here and in radio, work is never cancelled. My little Nissan Sentra isn't the best in the snow, so I woke up really early and prepared to head into the radio station. Here's how I got ready.

  • Food. I packed some American Chop Suey that I made last night, I also brought instant oatmeal and Fig Newtons.
  • Sleeping bag and pillow. Just in case, when it's time to drive home and the roads are too bad to leave.
  • Change of clothes. In case I end up having to sleep overnight.

I was so happy to see that Cumberland Farms was open on my way into the radio station this morning. A bonus was my friend Kyle was working, he makes the best iced coffee! I should have bought two of them with as little sleep as I am working on!

The storm has picked up quickly and the forecast is still calling for 12-18 inches of snow through tonight and wind gusts over 40 MPH. If you don't need to drive, DON'T! But do listen to B98.5!
