This Saturday will be the day for the 2nd annual AugustaFest, the inaugural AugustaFest was largely rained out. The weather for this Saturday is looking much better than last year. Events will be going on all day long, with plenty of fun for the whole family.Things start up bright and early Saturday morning at 7:30 with a pancake breakfast at the Green Street Methodist Church. The fishing tournament will start at 7:30 a.m. and go all day until 4 at the East Side Boat Landing.

Other events include: The Downtown Throwdown physical fitness challenge, an antique auto show and kids' activities.

Live music and entertainment will be taking place from 11 a.m. through 9 p.m. Five bands will be featured, including Leppard Mania, a Def Leppard tribute band.

There will also be a beer garden for adults open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A section of Water Street from the Peachey Building to the Bridge Street intersection will be closed for the festivities, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Old Fort Western will host a weekend-long French and Indian War encampment.

A trolley will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to bring riders from downtown across the river to Fort Western.
