This year’s Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will feature blues singer Susan Tededchi and Ayla Brown, but it will not be nationally televised for the first time in 20 years. CBS said ratings for the July 4th show had been declining in recent years, so they have pulled the plug.

The first ever Central Maine Pet Expo couldn't have been a bigger success! The weather was perfect with sunshine and warm temperatures. Fort Halifax Park in Winslow was filled with two-footed and four-footed animals.
Along with the City of Augusta, we're thrilled again this year to host the annual FREE 'Waterfront Wednesday' concerts at Waterfront Park.
He crept into our room yesterday morning at 5am and whispered "Mama, just wanted to tell you we have our field trip today."

They have been training for a while and today they receive their official "license" to serve!
Fourteen police officers and their dogs graduate from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy starting at 10am today. One of those graduates is close to my heart!
The pristine Maine coastal town of Machias will be celebrating its 250th birthday starting this Friday, with a week-long celebration planned. All of the events are family-friendly and free!
