Join me as the host of the Morning Buzz with Randy McCoy, weekday mornings from 5am to 9am. I also can be heard on Sundays from 10-noon. Make sure you come by to meet me at many of our live local broadcasts.
Yup, I went to the Bangor Comic & Toy Con this weekend. I don't read comics nor do I collect toys...but Big Bang Theory is my favorite TV show. So, for the love of Sheldon, I felt I needed to go to at least one Comic Con. Just to say I did it.
Congratulations to Bill Green and his crew. The journalist, from Bill Green's Maine, along with his photographer, Kirk Cratty won the Edward R. Murrow Award for the story they did about Lynn Merrill. Merrill, a Maine Native from Augusta, and is blind. She has always wanted to climb Katahdin...but, life got in the way.
Small acts, when multiplied by many, can transform the world! That's what the town of Windsor is hoping for this weekend for their annual Walk-A-Thon event to benefit the Windsor Food Bank. It will take place at the Windsor Fair Grounds from 9am-11am
McCoy talked about it during the Morning Buzz yesterday and, well, I thought he was yanking my chain. I clearly had to look further into this. Through my investigation, I came across this gem. Really? No, I mean, seriously? This is probably the funniest thing thing I've seen in a long time. What will they come up with next?
McCoy & Dyer, from the Morning Buzz, will be giving away VIP 3 day passes to the Bangor Comic & Toy Con today and tomorrow. We will be doing it between 6:30-8:30 to be sure to tune in and play the Cartoon Match-Up!

Known as a "Butterfly Child", Jonathan Pitre suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa. EB is one of the most painful conditions known to modern medicine. The skin is so thin and fragile, like that of a butterfly. But, Jonathan's courage and determination really makes you question if you, yourself, really have it that bad.
Maickel Melamed, from Venezuela, was the last person to cross the finish line in the Boston Marathon that started yesterday. After 20 hours and down pouring rain, Melamed finally crossed the line at 4:19am this morning. The 39-year-old suffers from muscular dystrophy and was surrounded by supporters as he took the final steps to victory.
