B98.5’s Teacher of the Year 2014

B98.5 and Maine Education Credit Union presented our Teacher of the Year award on Tuesday, June 10th. Each month through the school year we choose a teacher of the month and award them with a Trophy and restaurant certificate. All teachers nominated are in the running for teacher of the year.

This is the third year B98.5 and Maine Education Credit Union have teamed up to honor teachers in our area. The teacher of the year receives a beauttful trophy, a $50 restaurant certificate and, from Maine Education Credit Union, $1000.00 donated to the winning teachers school. This year, as in years past, the decision was a tough one but, a tip of the graduation cap and big congratulations to this years Teacher of the Year. From Piscataquis Community Secondary School in SAD #4, Mr. Rex Webb. Mr. Webb is truly a teacher that goes beyond the realm of 'just teaching'.

The presentation was done in front of the entire school with Mr. Webb's family present. His wife, who has a position in the state of Georgia, was not able to attend, but through the wonder of the world wide web we were able to hook her up on Facetime and she was able watch the entire presentation.
