Maine Gas Prices Lower This Week

Maine gas prices continue to fall as Labor Day approaches. This week, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is at $2.59 a gallon. That is down from $2.64 a gallon from one week ago. The national average is also at $2.59 a gallon, down from $2.65 a gallon from last week.

This is a very sensitive subject for many people.   It's been a familiar topic in Maine ever since Zumba instructor Alexis Wright from Kennebunk made national news with her double life a few years ago.  According to a story in the Kennebec Journal, Bobbi-Jo Rollins, 39, was arrested and charged with prostitution for the third time yesterday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area.

According to the National Weather Service, around 4 pm, doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing half dollar size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph
