Instead of missing out on a lot of the Holiday festivities because you are slaving over a hot stove, take the family out (or get take-out) for dinner! These Central Maine restaurants will be open on Christmas Day. Just keep in mind, you may need to make reservations.
-Aunt Gin's on Rt 17 in Whitefield - They'll be serving prime rib, pork osso bucco, and cornish game hen with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
-Canton Express on Bangor Street in Augusta - Skip the turkey or ham, and give your family ribs, and General Tso's Chicken, instead.
-Dunkin' - The locations on Western Ave and Riverside Drive (inside the Big Apple) will be open Christmas morning. Perfect if mom and dad want coffee while the watch the kids open all their toys.
-Denny's on Civic Center Drive in Augusta - Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Quick and affordable! Even if you don't have Christmas dinner there, you can still grab some breakfast after you open your presents.
-Great Wall Buffet off Civic Center Drive in Augusta - Open their regular hours, so if you have a big family who loves to eat, so yourself a lot of trouble and take them out to this amazing all-you-can-eat buffet.
-IHOP off Civic Center Drive in Augusta - Stop in for a post-Christmas present opening breakfast or a quick lunch to tide you over until Christmas Dinner. They'll be open from 7 AM to 3 PM.
-Lisa's Restaurant on Bangor Street in Augusta - They are open 365 days a year... Even CHRISTMAS! They'll be open at 11 AM (until 9 PM), so even if you don't have dinner there, you stop by to have lunch before you start slaving over a hot stove (or plant yourself in front of the pile of parts that will eventually become your kid's new bike).
